Since 2015, the partnership between VIP Structures and Kris-Tech Wire has been a shining example of VIP’s commitment to fostering client growth and the net benefit of efficient design-build delivery.

Our valued and ongoing collaboration with Kris-Tech has led to multiple projects together, showing that our delivery isn’t just about solving current needs, it’s about laying a foundation for future success.

Our journey with Kris-Tech began in 2015 with a vision: to design and build manufacturing and warehouse facilities to support their unique operations and set the stage for future growth. This vision came to life starting with a comprehensive site selection process and led to the design and construction of a new 50,000 SF manufacturing facility that doubled Kris-Tech’s capacity and increased operational efficiency. This initial project set the foundation for a series of expansions, demonstrating VIP’s commitment to adapting to Kris-Tech’s evolving needs.

Design-build offers significant advantages, including the ability to accelerate project timelines while maintaining design flexibility.

VIP completed two more planned expansion projects with Kris-Tech in 2018 and 2019 adding 29,000 SF to their operations.  Building on this partnership, the South Expansion, completed in 2024 marked a pivotal milestone for Kris-Tech.

Facing an urgent need to relocate operations from leased space, Kris-Tech turned to VIP for a swift and scalable solution. The resulting 75,000 SF addition was seamlessly integrated with existing infrastructure and has become Kris-Tech’s most significant facility expansion. The South Expansion Project was delivered under budget and completed within an expedited timeframe, crucial to ensuring operational continuity, during a period of significant transition.

VIP’s expertise in Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) design and construction played a pivotal role in the success of this expansion. The PEMB’s wide-span interior supported Kris-Tech’s specialized manufacturing equipment and production processes, and early procurement of the PEMB from Varco Pruden (VP) accelerated the project timeline without sacrificing design flexibility. By leveraging Varco Pruden’s VP Command software, the team made real-time adjustments to the PEMB design, offering a dynamic approach to optimize the building layout and ensure the facility aligned seamlessly with Kris-Tech’s operational needs. By recommending PEMB solutions, VIP saved Kris-Tech time and capital, delivering a structure that supported their vision without compromise.

By procuring a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) before finalizing the full design, VIP accelerated the construction schedule and delivered a solution tailored to Kris-Tech's growth needs.
