GE Inspection Technologies (GEIT) designs, manufactures and services ultrasonic, remote visual, radiographic (X-ray) and eddy current equipment and systems and offers specialized solutions to the aerospace, power generation, oil & gas, automotive and metals industries. They commissioned the VIP Structures family of companies to design, build and develop a 73,820 square foot office/manufacturing facility.

VIP worked with the client early on assisting with  site selection, appraisal, financing, environmental auditing, and wetland analysis. The project from site acquisition to design and construction was completed in less than 18 months.

The facility houses the manufacturing of remote viewing equipment (a heritage brand Everest VIT) – from basic bore scopes and fiberscope to measurement capable digital video bore scopes, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera systems and robotic crawler systems. The building has two separate labs and a 23,000 SF controlled-production area. The facility also includes a large cafeteria and exercise room for its employees.

GEIT leased the facility from VIP Development Associates , which also provided property management services for the property during the initial years of the lease
