Hand Held Products, acquired by Honeywell in 2007 and renamed Honeywell Scanning and Mobility, is a leading provider of image-based data collection solutions for mobile, wireless, and transaction processing applications to end users throughout the world.

VIP worked with Hand Held Products to design, build and develop their new 110,000 SF high-tech manufacturing facility in Skaneateles Falls, NY. Due to the complexity of their operations, the design was very specific and incorporated low-static flooring and special ventilation and humidification systems to reduce air pollutants during assembly of their hand held laser scanners. The facility also features a dynamic conference room that enables employees to demonstrate products to clients worldwide, a commercial kitchen and cafeteria to house 300 employees and a wellness/fitness center. In addition the site required a special waste water treatment plant to handle all the sanitation from the building as public sewers were not available. VIP’s team delivered ahead of schedule and under budget and completed in 2001.
