We officially broke ground on the Warehouse Expansion project at O-AT-KA Milk Products Cooperative Inc. on Thursday, September 10^th. The $12.5 million expansion of the current 110,000 SF of warehousing facility will consolidate two warehouses and make the company’s material handling processes more efficient. It will take their space to over 300,000 SF. In addition, we are also completing a 34,000 SF pallet and labeling addition. This is the first major project that we will complete for O-AT-KA as we take on the project in a design-build capacity that includes architecture, engineering and construction services. Founded in 1959, O-AT-KA Milk Products Cooperative, Inc. is a milk products manufacturing facility that has grown from only five employees to over 300. O-AT-KA is owned by two dairy cooperatives – Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. and Dairy Farmers of America. The company produces products including butter, milk powders and packaged dairy based beverages.
