As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2025, we’re proud to share that VIP Structures has been recognized as one of only 17 firms nationwide to receive the 2025 PSMJ AEC Building a Better World Award. This honor celebrates architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms that go beyond project delivery to create meaningful, lasting change in their communities—a mission that’s at the heart of who we are.
Building More Than Structures
This award isn’t just about the buildings we design and construct. It’s about the passion and purpose our team brings to serving our community every day.
In 2024, we launched our first Day of Purpose, where our employees came together to make an immediate impact:
- Assembled 720 wound kits for ACR Health
- Served 211 meals at the Samaritan Center
- Wrote 51 letters to veterans through A Million Thanks
- Delivered 46 meals to seniors with Meals on Wheels of Syracuse
Beyond that single day, we supported 44 local nonprofits, contributed more than 200 volunteer hours, and advanced initiatives to expand equity and opportunity within the AEC professions.
More Than Projects—It’s About People
As PSMJ President Gregory Hart said, “The AEC industry is about more than projects. It’s about people.” We couldn’t agree more. From disaster recovery to STEM education to community service, we’ve seen firsthand how our industry has the power to shape a better world—and we’re grateful to be part of that movement.
Our Legacy and Our Future
Since our founding in 1975, we’ve built more than 2,500 projects across Central New York and beyond. But more importantly, we’ve built trust, strengthened partnerships, and invested in the well-being of our community.
As we look back on five decades of service, this recognition from PSMJ reaffirms what drives us: finding a better way for our clients, our employees, and our community.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey, we couldn’t have achieved this milestone without you. Here’s to the next 50 years of building a better world, together.
