Developers from 900 East Fayette Group LLC plan a renovation and expansion of the vacant historic Sylvester building at the southeast corner of East Fayette Street and Irving Avenue. Built in 1910, the existing 4-story building at 900 East Fayette Street has 12 apartments located on the three upper floors. A 4-story addition consisting of 30 more apartments will be built. The expanded building will have 13,000 SF of commercial space on the first floor. In total, the project will cost an estimated $8.5 million.

VIP will perform construction duties on the project which is scheduled to start this spring and will take about a year. This will be our third project with this group. The developers see the tenant base consisting of graduate students and young professionals from nearby Syracuse University and various hospitals. Monthly rent will include heat, central air conditioning, high-speed internet, cable television and use of a fitness center.
